Ingredients:
- 1 cup 2 sticks unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup fair trade cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup fair trade chocolate chunks
Instructions:
Heat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit 175 degrees Celsius and place parchment paper inside a baking pan
Beat the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar in a mixing bowl until fluffy and light
Add the salt, fair trade cocoa powder, and all-purpose flour and sift
Blend until barely combined
Incorporate the chunks of fair trade chocolate into the dough by folding them in an even layer
Smoothing the top, press the dough into the baking pan that has been prepared
Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown, in a preheated oven
Take it out of the oven and let it cool in the pan for ten minutes, then move it to a wire rack to finish cooling
Cut into bars or squares once cooled, and savor your Fair Trade Chocolate Chunk Shortbread
